Handmade Watercolour Paint Dots - From Locally Grown Natural Botanical Dye Plants and Local Earth Pigments.

Explore a variety of watercolour paints, handmade from natural botanical and earth pigments. Simply wet the dot and let your brush and creativity flow.  Dots can also be scraped off the card and used/stored in a palette or tin.

All watercolour paints have been hand mulled with a homemade binder, using pigments created from a variety of dyestuffs, both from exhausted dyebaths and full strength dye extractions. The paint stroke on each card is a sample of the paint in each dots particular batch.

The binder used is a bespoke mix of the following: Gum Arabic, Honey, Glycerine, and Clove or Wintergreen Oil.

While I have tried to capture the colours as best I can, please be aware colours may vary from those shown here. All natural dyes and natural watercolours have varying light and wash fastness and you may want to consider this when planning your project.

The actual dots sent may not match those pictured in size or shape, but I do try to make them with equal amounts of pigment. Ensure you allow your dots to dry after use before storing. I also recommend placing some wax paper between the dry cards for storage, in case humidity or damp conditions should cause them to become rehydrated and sticky.
