Colourway: Kellas Cat
Wild and fierce black panther like creatures as large as dogs in the Highlands. Initial sightings were considered to be hoaxes until proof of the creatures was found in 1984 by a game keeper in Kellas, Scotland.
This rare black hybrid of the Scottish wildcat with its distinctive white chest may have spawned the ancient Celtic lore of the Cat Sith (fairy cat), which has many variations. Some believed the King of Cats stole the souls of the dead while others believed it could grant blessings if offerings were given. Still others believed the cat to be connected to a witch who could transform into a cat eight times and back again, while if transforming a ninth time would remain in cat form.

While I have tried to capture the colours as best I can, please be aware colours may vary from those shown here.
Due to the nature of hand dyeing, colour saturation and placement may vary between different skeins of the same colourway. If you are using more than one to skein to complete your project I recommend alternating between the skeins for the best overall colour matching.
This colourway is also available as full 100g skeins or as part of my Scottish Myths and Legends Mini Skein Pack.
