A red-eyed black mare dripping with sea water and weed. This shape shifting spirit has been known to lure the curious to a watery grave. One touch to its sticky skin and you can never be freed. However, it is said the water horse could be caught by the crafty to work the fields tirelessly. Do you dare try?
One of my colourways inspired by the myths and legends of Scotland.
All wool is hand dyed in single or small batches then washed and dried ready to be knit up into your own unique creation.
1 x 100g hank of Moon Salad: 75% Superwash Merino & 25% Nylon DK weight wool for hand or machine knitting.
Each 100g hank is about 246 yards / 225 meters.
Gauge: 22 x 30 = 4 inches using 4mm / US 6 needles
Suitable for machine washing but hand washing is preferable. Dry flat.
While I have tried to capture the colours as best I can, please be aware colours may vary from those shown here.
Due to the nature of hand dyeing, colour saturation and placement may vary between different skeins of the same colourway. If you are using more than one to skein to complete your project I recommend alternating between the skeins for the best overall colour matching.
Want the skein wound up and ready to knit? Add on my caking service to your order.
Ever had a wash load turn pink because of one tiny red sock? Although all wool has been washed thorougly after dyeing, it is advisable to wash your creations seperatly the first time, in case any residual dye remains. The vibrance of your wool will not be affected in the rare event that there is any run off. I don't expect the dyes to run, but I make mention out of caution as I would hate for my wool to be the 'red sock'!
