2020 Yarn Advent Countdown Calendar on Patsy DK - Surviving the Storm
Please read the description and choose your options carefully. Due to their bespoke nature, all Advent purchases are final. Advents will not be shipped until September, so if you are ordering additional non-Advent items that you want shipped earlier, please order them separately.
Shipping will include tracking and you will receive a notification once your calendar is on its way.
This is the DK version of the Advent - If you are looking for the sock version you can find it here.
This year’s Advent includes twenty four new colourways inspired by cloudy and calm skies from stormy to bright. You can expect some tonals, solids and variegated in the mix. The set will be wrapped in an order that is suitable for creating a beautiful piece of work using each day as it comes, or feel free to grab random days from the set for your own unique order.
Not just for Christmas – the colourways and wrapping are not holiday themed, making this set a perfect countdown calendar that can be used as a special yarny treat to enhance any occasion.
All Advent options will include 24 individually wrapped and numbered mini skeins all on Patsy DK: a 100% merino superwash 8ply DK wool suitable for hand or machine knitting. Sets are available in different mini skein size options to suit.
Option 1 - Yarn Only - 24 x 10g (27 yards / 25 meters ea.)
Option 2 – Yarn Only - 24 x 20g (54 yards / 50 meters ea.)
The Deluxe Add-On includes fun goodies and surprises which can be opened along with your yarn, including this year’s specially themed project bag. Add this option to your Advent yarn order for some extra fun.
Full special skeins, in a complimentary colourway, can also be added separately to your Advent. This years colour is availble on:
Float Your Goat: Brushed Kid Silk Lace – 72% Kid Mohair and 28% Silk - 1 x 50g skein (459 yards / 420 meters)
Patsy: 100% Superwash Merino 8ply DK weight wool - 1 x 100g skein (273 yards / 250 meters)
Want to join in on a holiday KAL? Following the success of her previous Advent KAL’s, Ambah will be hosting another Advent KAL with the launch of three new patterns for 2020, one of which uses DK! Keep an eye on her Ravelry group for details.
All wool is hand dyed in single or small batches then washed and dried ready to be knit up into your own unique creation.
Suitable for machine washing but hand washing is preferable. Dry flat.
Due to the nature of hand dyeing, colour saturation and placement may vary between different skeins of the same colourway. If you are using more than one to skein to complete your project I recommend alternating between the skeins for the best overall colour matching.
Ever had a wash load turn pink because of one tiny red sock? Although all wool has been washed thoroughly after dyeing, it is advisable to wash your creations separately the first time, in case any residual dye remains. The vibrancy of your wool will not be affected in the rare event that there is any run off. I don't expect the dyes to run, but I make mention out of caution as I would hate for my wool to be the 'red sock'!
