2019 Yarn Advent Countdown Calendar on Choufunga Sock - Scottish Mythology and Folklore
Please read the description and choose your options carefully. Due to their bespoke nature, all Advent purchases are final. Advents will not be shipped until October, so if you are ordering additional non-Advent items, that you want shipped earlier, please order them separately.
Shipping will include tracking and you will receive a notification once your advent is on its way.
This year’s Advent set is inspired by the mythology and folklore of Scotland. From colourful creation myths to fairies, stone throwing giants, fantastical creatures, and local lore this new set of colourways is sure to delight. The set will be a complimentary mix of a few existing colourways and at least twenty new repeatable colourways. Speckled and variegated, the set will be wrapped in an order that is suitable for creating a beautiful piece of work using each day as it comes or feel free to grab random days from the set for your own unique order.
Not just for Christmas – the colourways and wrapping are not holiday themed, making this set a perfect countdown calendar that can be used as a special yarny treat to enhance any occasion.
All Advent options will include 24 individually wrapped and numbered mini skeins all on Choufunga, a 75/25 superwash merino and nylon sock weight base. Sets are available in different mini skein size options to suit. A full 100g skein can also be added separately to your order.
Choose from yarn only or spoil yourself with a deluxe set. Deluxe sets include fun goodies and surprises, including this year’s specially themed project bag.

All wool is hand dyed in single or small batches then washed and dried ready to be knit up into your own unique creation.
Suitable for machine washing but hand washing is preferable. Dry flat.
Due to the nature of hand dyeing, colour saturation and placement may vary between different skeins of the same colourway. If you are using more than one to skein to complete your project I recommend alternating between the skeins for the best overall colour matching.
Ever had a wash load turn pink because of one tiny red sock? Although all wool has been washed thoroughly after dyeing, it is advisable to wash your creations separately the first time, in case any residual dye remains. The vibrancy of your wool will not be affected in the rare event that there is any run off. I don't expect the dyes to run, but I make mention out of caution as I would hate for my wool to be the 'red sock'!
